IMPORTANT NOTICE! For the 2017 SSI, SIM-one is offering a special group rate of $1,500 (+ HST) per participant for groups of three or more participants from the same college. The regular rate is $1,750 (+ HST) per participant.
The Summer Simulation Institute (SSI) is an intensive 3-day train-the-trainer program for health professions educators who are interested in a more comprehensive learning experience. This program is designed to help mentor and support participants in developing their careers in the exciting field of healthcare simulation.
Following completion of the program, participants should be familiar with the following topics:
Fundamental Concepts in Simulation
Describe several simulation methods for teaching in a variety of contexts, and demonstrate newly acquired knowledge, skills and attitude in the use of simulation.
Facilitation Skills
Enhance your facilitation skills for the conducting of simulations.
Simulation Scholarship
Identify ways in which simulation can be used for academic scholarship.
Career Advancement
Develop and implement a career development plan in the field of healthcare simulation.
